Gibson Dunn takes on trainees for first time

updated on 02 November 2012

The London office of US firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP has launched a training contract programme and vacation scheme, with a view to its first trainees starting in September 2015.

The firm, which has been in London for over 30 years, has 17 offices worldwide and more than 1,000 lawyers. London corporate partner Jeff Roberts will be training partner and former Gibson Dunn associate Barbara Davidson has been appointed as the new graduate recruitment and development manager.

Roberts says: "As Gibson Dunn handles some of the most cutting-edge, high-profile and complex cases and transactions in the world, our training scheme will be the ideal platform for the brightest and most ambitious graduates to make their mark. Our programme will be small and very selective. This will ensure that each individual trainee will benefit from personal mentoring in a nurturing and collegiate environment and have opportunities to take a high level of responsibility from day one."
