Field Fisher Waterhouse has welcomed its first five recruits to the firm's Step2Success programme, a scheme for school leavers who want careers in the legal profession.

The programme offers post A-level students a route into law. The inaugural intake are currently undergoing a bespoke induction into life at Field Fisher Waterhouse and they will also commence studying for the CILEx Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice soon after starting at the firm. The scheme will enable the school leavers to qualify as chartered legal executives within five years of their start date.

Michael Chissick, Field Fisher Waterhouse’s managing partner, said: "The Step2Success programme provides students with an alternative career path into the legal industry at a time when the cost of university is precluding many from following the traditional path. It also benefits us as a firm, ensuring that we don't miss out on bright, talented individuals who might otherwise choose another career. We are delighted to be welcoming [new recruits] Jamie, Damilola, Tobi, Frankie and Kieran to the firm and wish them every success."
