Metro Bank is offering a professional studies loan for legal studies exclusively to students at the University of Law (ULaw), which is now open for applications.
The partnership was announced by ULaw and the bank earlier this year. The loan is intended to support students in funding their course fees, as well as help with living costs. Those undertaking the GDL, LLM LPC and BTPC courses are all eligible to apply (including full time, part time and i-StudyLaw ULaw students). Successful applicants can take a loan to cover all or a percentage of their tuition fees, in addition to an amount toward living costs (totalling up to 20% of the full course fee). Repayments can be deferred for a maximum period of six months after finishing the course. The eligibility criteria can be found in full on the Metro Bank website.
President and CEO at ULaw, John Latham, commented: "Our partnership with Metro Bank underlines our commitment to providing students with the best opportunities to enter the legal services sector. The new loan scheme will help us to continue attracting the best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds."
