CMS Cameron McKenna is running an essay competition for final year school students who are keen on law and would be in the first generation of their family to attend university.

The essay competition offers a bursary of £2,500 for each year of the degree course to Year 12/S5 state school students who want to study law at university, and who meet certain academic and financial criteria. The 750-1,000 word essay must address one of the following topics:

  • "It is never acceptable to break the law" - do you agree?; or
  • Should the Internet be policed?

The closing date for applications is 17 July 2014. For more information on the competition and to apply, click here.
