LCN Says

Come on in; the blogging’s fine!

updated on 20 September 2011

Blogging: it’s come a long way from its formative days, where it seemed merely to be an opportunity for opinionated self-promoters to force themselves onto the online community. These days, it’s an entirely reputable form of publication, adopted by individuals, organisations, newspapers, politicians and just about anyone with something to say. The world has taken blogging and run with it. (Check out our pick of those blogs that we reckon make a significant contribution to the online conversation about the legal profession.)

So if blogging is no longer the preserve of soccer moms with great recipes for chocco-peanut brownies or right-wing conspiracy theorists foaming at the mouth, we thought that LC.N should join the revolution and start blogging ourselves. Our plan is to have various members of the LC.N team commenting on whatever takes his or her fancy – be that interesting new case law, controversial government reforms, how to do well at interview, or just the best free stuff on offer at law fairs.

And we want it to be a dialogue, not a monologue. So please comment on what we’ve said – you might agree, you might disagree, you might have questions. We want to know!

We’d also suggest you take a look at our other LC.N bloggers. These offer views from people at all stages of the legal job quest, from GDL to LPC to trainee. And seeing that you’re there already, take a browse around the rest of the site – there’s more legal insight and info than you can shake a mouse at.

Ready, set, blog!
