The ELSA UK Commercial Law Moot Court Competition (COMMOOT) is the national moot court competition in ELSA United Kingdom. Each year the competition focuses on a different type of commercial contracts such as transportation, competition, IP, insolvency or private equity. For the 4th edition, the competition will focus on Intellectual Property law. COMMOOT will simulate procedures in commercial contract litigation through written and oral submissions. This year, COMMOOT will be held online to facilitate involvement from all law schools nationwide.
During the competition, participants will be asked to deliver written submissions on behalf of both the applicant and the respondent. They will only need to argue on behalf of one of the parties during the oral round.
