Aimed at first-year law students and penultimate year non-law students this scheme is designed to give you your first taste into working life at an international law firm.
You will spend one week sitting in one of our departments where you will shadow one of our expert lawyers in your chosen field. This will give you the opportunity to observe sophisticated legal transactions, develop an understanding of our core industry sectors and learn how we assist our clients achieve their commercial objectives.
You will be allocated a trainee buddie who will assist you with any tasks that you are assigned and who be on hand to provide day-to-day advice.
A variety of social events will also give you the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the firm and give you an insight into our people and culture.
You will receive continuous mentoring and coaching throughout the year on completion of the programme. Engagement with Clyde & Co will continue on completion of the work placement and strong performers will have the opportunity to be fast tracked through to our vacation scheme assessment centre the following year.
The scheme provides an opportunity for candidates to meet lawyers at every level, undertake a variety of work, and experience the real differences between academic study and legal practice.
