HMRC Solicitor’s Office open day

Interested in shaping, not just practising, the law? Working as part of the Government Legal Service, you’ll always be at the cutting edge of legal developments. You can find out more about life as a government lawyer at HMRC Solicitor’s Office open day!

This April, HMRC Solicitor’s Office will be opening its doors for two events in London which have been designed to provide you with information about a career with the Government Legal Service and allow you to get a flavour of the work of a lawyer at HMRC. Each session will include:

  • An introduction to the Government Legal Service and HMRC Solicitor’s Office
  • Workshops demonstrating the work of litigation and advisory lawyers
  • A panel discussion with current trainees and lawyers at various levels of seniority

Eligibility

We welcome applications from penultimate year law students, final year law students, final year non-law students and students currently studying for the GDL, LPC or BPTC.

Allocation of places

Places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate all of the expected enquiries; however, a reserve list will be compiled from the applications received. Those on the list will have priority when we hold our next event later this year.

How to apply

Please email your name, contact details, university and student status to [email protected]. Please specify if you have a preferred date to attend the open day, or whether you are available for both of the above dates.
