The Centre for Professional Legal Studies within Cardiff Law School was established in 1992. It has delivered the Legal Practice Course since 1993 and, from 1997 to date, provision of the LPC has received the highest possible grading from the Solicitors' Regulation Authority. Since 1996, the centre has also provided the Bar Vocational Course, making Cardiff the only old University to provide the qualifying courses for both routes into the legal profession. The centre is renowned for its traditional hands-on approach to teaching, delivered by a highly regarded, experienced and professional body of tutors. At our open afternoon, you will have the chance to attend an introductory talk by members of staff and then a Q&A session with former students who are now in practice. You will then have an opportunity to tour our facilities, view the course materials and talk to staff about both the Legal Practice Course and the Bar Vocational Course.
