This is a list of some of the many student law societies operating at universities around the country and a brief description of what they do. Where possible we have added a link to the society's website so that readers can gain a better insight into the focus of the society and how it functions and serves its members. Inevitably some societies will be more active than others.
LawCareers.Net believes that student law societies serve a number of valuable roles: as central knowledge resource, as a place to meet those also interested in law, as a careers support structure, to develop new skills and of course as a means of gaining access to potential employers. If you are not already a member of your student law society we strongly suggest you join it and if there isn't one then found a society yourself! Similarly if your student law society is not listed here please encourage the powers that be to submit its details for this page.
We hope that societies might also pick up some new ideas from each other and generally improve the range and quality of the activities societies get involved with. In turn we hope that you will improve your chances of getting on the legal career ladder.
