Paralegal/legal secretary

Elborne Mitchell LLP is a provider of specialist legal services to the insurance market and to a range of commercial clients (including national and international lending institutions) across a number of practice areas.

We are looking for a paralegal/legal secretary to provide paralegal/administrative and secretarial support to fee earners.

Duties may include:

  • Paralegal assistance (law degree preferable)
  • Assisting with client events, including our lecture programme
  • Drafting, amending and proofing documents and emails
  • File management: opening and closing files, archiving closed matters
  • Diary and travel management
  • Answering telephone calls, monitoring voicemail, distributing messages, setting up conference calls and taking messages
  • Maintaining paper and electronic filing; scanning and copying post for distribution and records
  • Bill preparation, including draft narratives (Excel skills are an advantage here)
  • Dictation transcription (Olympus)
  • Assisting others as necessary, including reception assistance/cover, contact database management
