Role: commercial contracts assistant.
Reporting to a commercial manager based in our Dorking office in Surrey, your responsibilities will be varied but will include the following:
- Administering non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and carrying out reviews with internal training and support.
- Carrying out due diligence checks for new suppliers based on internal training and support and maintaining a database of results.
- Ensuring database of final contracts are kept up to date which will involve liaising across the business spectrum.
- Checking list of government clauses (defcons) are up to date and maintain up to date copies in file.
- Keep abreast with company insurance and liaise with our insurance brokers where necessary.
- The role for the right candidate will allow progression to a junior commercial contracts position subject to training and support. This will involve reviewing a range of varying and sometimes complex contracts across our market sectors.
What we are looking for:
- Good communication skills, loyal and personable.
- Good understanding of contract law.
- Attention to detail.
- Commutable distance from our office in Dorking Surrey.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise own workload.
- Degree in law with LPC desirable.
- Resilient under pressure.
- Team player.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly: MS Excel and MS Word

Clearance
The successful candidate will be required to obtain security clearance.
