The University of Law (ULaw) has recognised the commitment and service of former Attorney General Lord Goldsmith QC, PC and legal commentator Joshua Rozenberg with honorary degrees at a ceremony in London.

The honorary doctor of laws were awarded during a graduation ceremony for LLB and LLM graduates of ULaw. Other senior legal figures to be awarded honorary ULaw degrees in the past include Lord Neuberger, Shami Chakrabarti and Lady Hale. On accepting the award, Lord Goldsmith commented that he was honoured to "reaffirm [his] connection to The University of Law which plays such a key role in educating the lawyers of tomorrow".

Joshua Rozenberg said: "Little did I imagine when I studied at the College of Law that I would be returning more than 40 years later to accept an honorary degree from its successor university. The lecturers I listened to all those years ago were adept at breaking down complex subjects into simple propositions. I'm sure they helped me in my chosen career".
