Nottingham Law at Kaplan Law School will run a 2-day summer school course, "Acting for a client through a commercial transaction" from 19-20 June. The course, taught by practitioners in the field, is designed for anyone thinking about taking a GDL or LPC course, and the £200 summer school fee can be put towards a deposit for the Nottingham Law at Kaplan Law School courses. Taking advantage of the Nottingham Law School experiential "learning by doing", students, acting in the role of law firms, will gain insight into business, property law and litigation. They will also have the opportunity to practice softer skills of negotiation, research, drafting, presentations and legal writing and will be given feedback. International law firm Mayer Brown will present a guide to legal careers including a presentation from one of their newly qualified lawyers. Places are limited.
