Overview
BPP is a leading provider of professional legal education with more than 5,500 students based across six law schools in Birmingham*, Bristol*, Leeds, London and Manchester.

We have the skills and resources to offer you the individual support needed to prepare you for the realities of legal practice. This is achieved using a unique mix of academic and practitioner lecturers, first-rate facilities, award-winning pro bono projects and an unrivalled careers service. Our careers service comprises not only specialist careers advisers, but also careers tutors, who have worked in practice and participated in the recruitment of trainees. This distinctive blend of knowledge and experience ensures you are fully equipped with the knowledge and support needed to secure a training contract or pupillage.

GDL
BPP's GDL is taught using a practical, student-centred approach to learning the law and provides a valuable introduction to legal practice. You will be taught using a combination of tutorials, lectures and online learning, allowing you to develop your knowledge and skills fully by receiving maximum support and individual feedback. Although competition for places at BPP is intense, our GDL graduates are guaranteed a place on BPP's LPC and intending barristers can apply to join our BVC.

Study full or part-time or by distance learning. Starts in September or January.

LPC
Our LPC is designed to prepare you for real life as a trainee solicitor. Taught by experienced solicitors from a variety of practice backgrounds, you will benefit from a programme designed in close collaboration with the top legal firms in the country and the widest range of electives ensuring you can study the area of legal practice most important to you. January starts also available for full-time programme in Leeds and Manchester.

Study full or part-time.

BVC
Our BVC is highly regarded by the profession and one of eight approved worldwide by the Bar Standards Board. Studying the BVC at BPP will allow you to concentrate on developing the essential barristerial skills of drafting, opinion writing, advocacy, conference and negotiation. These skills will be refined using groups as small as six students alongside practising barristers, who will act as your opponents in mock trials and final assessments.

Study full or part-time.

Degree programmes
In September 2007 BPP College of Professional Studies made history by becoming the first publicly-owned private company in the UK to obtain degree awarding powers. This approval from the Privy Council is authentication of our dedication to educational excellence and recognition of our standing as a leading professional education provider.

BPP Law School now offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, in addition to our professional programmes:

  • LLB and LLB in Business Law - undergraduate degrees in law
