Hi! I'm Celine, a UCL English undergraduate student on the cusp of completing her degree and embarking on her academic journey into law next year. In this blog, I'll be writing about anything and everything pertaining to my experiences as a legal novice, in the hopes of connecting with others who are in a similar spot. Hi I'm Phil, otherwise known as The Neurodivergent Lawyer. I am an aspiring lawyer qualifying via CILEX, and an autism and neurodiversity advocate. I'll be sharing my experiences of life as a paralegal and qualifying via an alternative route to the training contract, things that I think are worth knowing at the junior stage, as well as promoting greater acceptance, understanding, empowerment and inclusion of autistic and neurodivergent lawyers at all career stages. Hello, I’m Demi, or alternatively known as 'The Abled Lawyer' on Instagram. I am currently studying the LPC/LLM part-time at BPP University, Birmingham. I work as a diversity assistant at Freeths LLP. I am also a committee member of the Lawyers with Disabilities Division of The Law Society of England and Wales in my spare time. By documenting my journey as a disabled student, this blog aims to raise awareness of disabilities in the legal profession and give practical advice to disabled aspiring solicitors, which I wish I had received at the beginning of my career.
