As a paralegal apprentice with DAC Beachcroft, you will be on your way to a career in law and have a real alternative to university; you will earn a salary and have no university fees to pay. You will quickly learn how to work on live legal matters and have contact with clients. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end; your training will be carefully planned and you will work in a supportive team environment but will be doing a real job and contributing to the DAC Beachcroft business. As a paralegal apprentice you can expect to either be assisting lawyers with their matters or managing your own matters on less complex files, with close supervision.
DAC Beachcroft’s claims solutions group is the market-leading claims law firm, providing specialist claims, health, safety and environment and motor prosecutions services to insurers and corporate clients. We positively impact our clients’ bottom line through the delivery of the highest quality service, best case outcomes, and genuine value for money and differentiated services.
Our market leading vehicle hire and damage team works with over 40 insurance companies and self-insured corporates. The team deals with all aspects of defendant credit hire dispute resolution, providing an end to end solution. The team also provides pre-emptive advice on these issues whilst also assisting clients formulate their own strategies.
The vehicle hire and damage team deals with vehicle hire and damage claims from small track to multi track, including fraudulent vehicle hire and damage claims. Our team will also deal with liability, indemnity and associated losses including personal injury, credit repair and diminution.
The team has a progressive approach and a market leading reputation for not simply tackling the claims themselves from a litigation perspective, but also for tracking and analysing behaviours and trends with a view to providing insurers with bespoke strategies.
Typical tasks include liaising with clients and others; preparation and collation of correspondence of reports, legal and business research, and general administration duties such as maintaining an effective filing system.

Additionally, you will have the equivalent of 20% of your weekly contracted hours to use towards your study, in order to focus on the educational side of your apprenticeship. This will include a mixture of interactive webinars and face to face study sessions.
This apprenticeship will give you an excellent start to your career in law, to provide you with a foundation that could lead to higher level qualifications upon completion of your apprenticeship.
