As the legal administrator studying for the legal administration qualification (via apprenticeship) you will be directly supporting the Gillingham office. This is a varied role offering a fantastic opportunity to work with different departments within an award winning law firm. As a legal administration apprentice your prime responsibilities will include:

Key tasks and duties

  • Helping with the efficient running of the offices

  • Greeting clients when they visit the office in a helpful, professional and friendly manner

  • To support the team with administrative tasks and action work as delegated

  • Provide telephone support to the office by answering telephone calls in a courteous and efficient way

  • Preparing, copying, printing and sorting emails and documents

  • Organising and maintaining client files

  • Data entry and updating of databases

  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required

  • Any other tasks required to support the team or requested by management

  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently

Additional tasks and duties: 

  • Deal with all incoming and outgoing mail

  • Support the office as a whole

Desired skills

  • Professional telephone manner

  • Previous work experience involving dealing with people is useful but not essential

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail

  • Good technical ability using Microsoft Office

  • Must have good organisational skills

  • Keyboard skills as correspondence is required for typed and template letters as necessary
