Trainee solicitor

Trainee solicitor - 2 year fixed term contract commencing in April 2018

This trainee post with nplaw offers an opportunity to join a shared legal service based at County Hall, Norwich. You will assist lawyers and legal officers in a full range of activities across a range of disciplines including research, advice notes, preparation of applications, witness statements, briefs to Counsel, court bundles, the drafting and negotiation of agreements and contracts, attendance at court and any other related tasks.

You will have a degree in law or other subject (2:1 or above) plus CPE/GDL and have passed the Legal Practice Course (LPC). You will be able to build effective relationships with clients and team members, and have good research, analytical, IT and communication skills.

You will be part of a large supportive team and have access to an on-site training centre with access to a comprehensively stocked library and on-line facilities.

Conditions of service include flexible working hours and membership of the Local Government pension scheme.
