Law Jobs

Trainee solicitor

PDT Solicitors is ranked as a leading commercial firm in the Legal 500. Our two core principles are to deliver clear, strong commercial advice and to nurture genuine and supportive relationships with our clients and staff.

PDT is divided into four core divisions: real estate, company commercial, dispute resolution and employment. These divisions include several niche sectors allowing trainees to gain a broad range of experience before deciding upon their preferred area of law.

We offer something different to your traditional law firm. Due to the size of the firm, we are large enough to give you access to large national and international clients from a broad range of sectors, yet small enough to provide an environment where, given the right training and support, you can get hands on experience, build genuine relationships with clients and make a tangible difference to businesses locally and across the UK.

We view our trainees as valuable assets to the firm and in return for your hard work, we offer you the opportunity to get broad, multi-discipline commercial experience with direct access to clients and exposure to the commercial side of business.

We have two trainee vacancies commencing September 2020.

Key Requirements

As a trainee solicitor within the firm you will be part of an enthusiastic team with a wide-ranging workload completing four different seats rotating between our company commercial, real estate and dispute resolution teams. We believe in your ability to have control over your own career path and to have an open, flexible and two-way review and appraisal process. Personal and professional training opportunities are regularly available to support you to achieve your career aspirations. We make an effort to make every member of staff feel like they are a valued member of the team and provide a close support network.

You will have completed the Legal Practice Course (or will commence the course for completion in 2020), be self-motivated, able to demonstrate initiative and be a creative and innovative problem solver. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate a high level of literacy and numeracy, be confident in using IT systems, have good interpersonal skills and possess an interest in commercial business generally.
