Deputy research editor

The person

Globe Business Media Group has an exciting opportunity in our central London office for a deputy research editor to join our highly respected, fast-growing business. In addition to working on research by phone and writing editorial content, the successful candidate will closely support the research editor by implementing research procedures and helping to maintain quality standards. The deputy research editor will join the busy research team and will be based at our offices in vibrant Borough Market in London.

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised individual with strong people and time management skills, an inquiring mind, exceptional written and oral communication abilities and the capacity to work independently and as a mentor within a team. 

Candidates do not need a background in law or intellectual property, although they will be expected to have grasped the basic concepts and the dynamics of the market shortly after assuming the role. Salary: c£24,000-£27,000.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the research editor with the planning, coordination, development and administration of research projects. 
• Product development. 
• Conducting research using telephone, email and the Internet.
• Presenting findings in tables.
• Composing editorial for business-to-business publications on the basis of tables and research.

As part of the IP Division, the research team analyses the intellectual property sector of the legal services market. Results are published in unique directories: the WTR 1000 and the IAM Patent 1000. High-quality research, accurate rankings, engaging editorial and the ability to build relationships with market sources are the keys to our success in establishing these guides as the essential tool for selecting IP counsel around the world.
