Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) specialises in law and policy affecting children and young people. CCLC provides free legal information, advice and representation to children, young people, their families, carers and professionals, as well as international consultancy on child law and children’s rights.
We have an opportunity for a hard-working and enthusiastic individual to join our Education Law department within the Legal Practice Unit.
You will provide legal advice and assistance to clients who telephone via Civil Legal Advice, keep accurate and detailed records, and conduct your own casework, under supervision, when required. Assisting fee-earners and covering them when absent, along with other administrative tasks, will also form part of your role.
With a qualifying Law degree or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), you will have the ability to deal with a wide range of clients from a wide variety of cultural, ethnic and educational backgrounds, and ideally have some experience of working in a solicitors’ office, operating under the Lexcel standard or the Legal Aid Specialist Quality Mark Standard, although this isn’t essential.
For an application pack, please visit our website at www.coram.org.uk or email: [email protected].
Closing date: midnight on Tuesday 5 June 2018.
Coram is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. We are committed to the safeguarding of children and will require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
