Trainee solicitor

Successful candidates will undertake case preparation working on criminal law files, as well as dealing with extradition and confiscation cases.    

Key responsibilities include

• file and office administration;

• securing legal aid funding

• keeping clients fully updated with case progress;

• perusal of case papers;

• attending client conferences/prison visits;

• taking clients’ instructions; and

• ensuring that all steps necessary for the proper preparation of cases are taken.

Selection criteria

• Law LLB or equivalent  

• Police Station Accreditation (desirable)

• Previous experience of working for a Criminal Law firm (desirable)

• Extradition law experience (desirable)
