Paralegal - projects (real estate)

Fixed term contract – 12 months

What does the role involve?

We need a paralegal who is interested in, and ideally, has gained experience in real estate work. You will assist primarily the members of the real estate mini team within the Projects NSL. The 12 month role is primarily to support the mini team but may include opportunities to support the wider NSL. Sectors include public and independent sector health, MOD, railway infrastructure and general real estate support for projects.

You will undertake a broad range of commercial property tasks. Work will be supervised, and will include:

•           Assisting with due diligence and lease reports

•           Drafting letters, memos and attendance notes on instruction of client or principal

•           Preparing documents using agreed standards and the firm’s precedent index

•           Undertaking legal or other research on behalf of your principal

•           Searches and co-ordinating searches through search flow (if required)

•           Engrossing final documents

•           Registration of interests at the land registry

•           Completion of SDLT forms

•           Inputting information and documents onto the firm’s and clients’ terrier and information systems

•           Client liaison

What experience is required?
