Pinsent Masons reaches 25% female partner target with latest promotions; sets sights on next gender equality goal

updated on 24 March 2017

UK top 50 firm Pinsent Masons has revealed its latest partner promotions, which have enabled the firm to meet its target of women making up at least 25% of its partners by 2018.

Eleven women have been promoted – two thirds of the 16 overall partner promotions. As Legal Week reports, the 25% target was set in 2014 and has now been slightly exceeded, with 26% (or 108 out of 421) of Pinsent Masons partners now women. The firm is now moving attention toward its next long-term goal of a 30% female partnership.

Richard Foley, the firm’s senior partner, said: “We have worked hard to ensure a level playing field. All of those who have achieved this personal landmark have done so on merit.”
