We are pleased to bring you the names of the outstanding individual law lecturers who have been nominated by their students for the prestigious LCN Best Law Lecturer award. The winner will be announced at the 14th annual LCN Training & Recruitment Awards, held at Merchant Taylor’s Hall in London on Thursday 18 May.
We received 729 responses to our survey and 380 law lecturers were put forward, including two previous winners; Benjamin Jones from 2016 and Mary Lee from 2014. Describing his role in last year’s Best in Law, Jones said: “I feel privileged to be part of my students’ learning journeys and to see them develop their skills, abilities and passion for the law; I really cannot think of anything that I would rather do.”
The nominees for Best Law Lecturer 2017 are:
- Adam Baker – University of Leeds
- Mihael Jeklic – King's College London
- Benjamin Jones – University of South Wales
- Mary Lee – University of Sussex
- Rachael Mulheron – Queen Mary, University of London
- Ruth Rutter – University of Surrey
- Andreas Yiannaros – University of Bedfordshire
A host of other awards for best practice in training and recruitment will also be announced at the ceremony; details of categories and nominees are here. We will be tweeting the results live on the night using #LCNawards17, so be sure to follow @LawCareersNetUK.
