Who's responsible?
Lots of law firms, that's who! Gone are the days when firms could operate in a societal vacuum, with nary a thought for the broader community. Now, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is something that most firms - especially those of the larger variety - are incorporating into their business models and ways of working. As a result, trainees are encouraged to get involved with pro bono, environmental and other charitable efforts, as are students who are keen on impressing recruiters with their responsible attitude. Read our CSR feature to learn more.

Elsewhere, the Burning Question looks at the new eco town phenomenon, while the Oracle ponders the implications of deferring law school. The lovely Emma McAvinchey is available for meeting yet again and there's an awful lot of interesting news to be had. Happy reading!
