Legal assistants (industrial disease and personal injury)
Due to expansion within the firm we are looking to recruit two/three industrial disease and personal injury legal assistants.
Working as part of a team you will be handling claims from initial instruction through to completion of the claim.
Within the industrial disease department your caseload will be predominately noise induced hearing loss claims. However, there will also be scope to handle all areas of industrial disease such as asbestosis, HAVS, skin disorders and upper limb disorders.
Within the personal injury department your caseload will be predominately road traffic accident claims. There will also be opportunities to handle CICA, EL and PL claims.
Your main responsibilities will be;
- Assessing liability
- Negotiating quantum
- Drafting letters of claim
- Submitting claims on the rapid claims portal
- Reviewing medical records and reports
- Tracing EL insurers
- Tracing defendants
- Corresponding with third parties
Applicants will have strong academic background and have excellent communication and organisational skills. Salary will be dependent on experience.
