Legal internship/work placement
We have a number of immediate unpaid work experience placements/internship vacancies in our personal injury and criminal department with an exciting opportunity to gain experience within a vibrant and dynamic firm in Dewsbury.
The suitable candidate will join a team of twelve. The right candidate in the personal injury department will enjoy a varied role which includes assessing the validity of new claims as they come through, taking initial instructions, speaking to clients over the phone, advising on funding options and utilising our Proclaim case management system.
The right candidate in the criminal department will be given the opportunity to work with a varied case load, which will be supervised by a senior criminal practitioner. These cases will range from traffic law to serious crime. You will be expected to prepare cases in advance of trials, take instructions from clients and witnesses as well as attend court on certain occasions.
Suitable candidates will have to have passed the LPC, be good communicators and be able to work using their own initiative.
