Paralegal (insurance disputes)

What does the role involve?

We need a paralegal to support the insurance disputes fee earners in our London office. You will receive the necessary training for the role in-house and on the job.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Legal research
  • Document preparation/management  – photocopying; paginating; indexing; listing documents; assisting with disclosure; preparing trial bundles
  • Drafting, e.g. court forms, application notices; pre-trial checklists/information sheets; using precedents on our in-house database; costs schedules; orders; and some short letters – all with supervision
  • Court attendances to lodge applications
  • Assisting fee earners on case management and tasks
  • Note taking at meetings – preparing attendance notes of court attendances, conferences with counsel and client meetings
  • Liaison by telephone and in writing with third parties and other parties in litigation
  • General administrative work, including filing and postal tasks

What experience is required?
