We are looking for a Crown Court clerk and Police Station representative. Already qualified would be preferable, however, if not - for the right candidate - all training will be provided. There can also be a training contract starting once the applicant has completed a successful probationary period and shown they have the ability to undertake the role. The start time is as soon as possible as we are replacing someone who is leaving for a pupillage.
We are looking for a long term employee and not someone who wants to qualify in any way possible and then leave. We are a small firm based in Pontefract with a second office in Bradford. The successful applicant will be based in Pontefract but will be required to travel to Wakefield (whilst it is still open) and Leeds Courts as well as Leeds and Normanton Police Stations. For Legal Aid Contract compliance the Rep (therefore the successful applicant) must be able to attend at Normanton within 45 minutes of a call.
We will consider part time students who are just starting or finishing their first year on the Legal Practice Course as they will be able to work and study.
Essential is a driving licence and access to a car and the ability to be on call out of hours. These will be paid (once qualified as Rep) in addition to the starting salary in the region of £15000.
Closing date Monday 30th May 2016 midnight. Interviews the following week. Date and time to be confirmed.
Applicants are to email [email protected] with a CV and covering letter setting out why they feel they would be the right person for the job.
