Paralegal with a view to a training contract

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for a top quality local firm for someone with experience in family and/or litigation.

The main purpose of the role is to deal with the day to day function of the family and litigation department, and to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective support service to the fee earners.

Ideally you will have experience of family and litigation matters (although not essential) with an interest to progress further in your career. You will ideally have worked in a law firm as an assistant, paralegal or legal executive and are looking for future training and ongoing development. As a firm, we believe strongly in providing support and training to all employees.

Main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide all clients with an outstanding service.
  • Complete management of client files.
  • Working efficiently so as to make the service provided cost effective.
  • Comply with firm's procedures and manuals.
  • Initial drafting of correspondence as requested.
  • Assist in maintaining compliant and accurate file management systems, including client care letters, audits and file reviews.
  • Carry out additional duties as and when required.

You will need:

  • To be fully computer literate, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • To have the ability to use your own initiative, be proactive and have a flexible approach.
  • To be able to prioritise effectively, with excellent time management skills.
  • To have exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with fee earners and other colleagues, as well as with clients.

This role would be suitable for all candidates who have completed their Legal Practice Course. There is an opportunity to obtain a training contract, for the right individual.
