Law Jobs

Trainee solicitor

LGSS Law Ltd is a social enterprise law firm jointly owned by three large local authorities and with a client base of in excess of 100 client organisations across the public and not for profit sectors including local authorities, health bodies and charities. Formed in 2010 from the merger of Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire County Council legal teams, in April 2015 we converted to an ABS and became one of the first publicly owned law firms in England. Through subsequent merger and expansion we are now one of the largest shared legal services in the country.

The team is well resourced and utilises the latest in ICT to enhance efficiency and communication. We pride ourselves on being a legal practice where lawyers wanting to focus on the public and not for profit sectors are able to achieve their full potential and provide clients with high quality, comprehensive and affordable legal services. We have offices in Huntingdon, Cambridge, Northampton and Shefford and work flexibly across these locations with the benefit of remote working to provide a high quality service to all of our clients.

We are seeking to recruit three trainee solicitors to join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with initiative and good communication skills who are able to undertake a full time training contract from Thursday 1 September 2016. We offer the chance to work with a range of public and not for profit sector clients, opportunities for career development and an excellent working environment. We have customer focus at the heart of all that we do, as well as a proactive approach to problem solving.

For an informal discussion, please contact Suzy Edge (Head of community services law) on 07917 550897 or by email at [email protected] or Virginia Moggridge (Head of contracts and procurement) on 07557 454710 or by email at [email protected].
