Both Shearman & Sterling LLP and K&L Gates have confirmed that they will take on more trainees in the upcoming recruitment cycles.
In positive news for applicants, the firms are among a number of US outfits which have announced increased intakes recently. Shearman will take on 17 trainee solicitors each year from 2016, while K&L Gates will increase its intake from eight to 10 trainees from 2015. As Lawyer2B reports, Sullivan & Cromwell has also announced an increased trainee cohort – it plans to recruit six trainees a year from 2016.
