updated on 06 July 2015

Joining the select group of firms that boasts 100% trainee retention, Sullivan & Cromwell has announced that its first cohort of trainees have all been offered and accepted NQ positions at the firm.

Joining the firm in September 2013, the four current trainees will qualify into the firm's general practice group in London. The group works on a range of matters, including M&A, capital markets, project finance, leveraged finance and restructuring. Currently, all four are on secondment to the firm’s overseas offices - two in New York, one in Hong Kong and one in Paris.

As of September 2015, the London office will have four first year trainees and four second year trainees (who joined in September 2014). The success of the scheme means that in September 2017, the firm will take on six trainees.
