Riverview Law to offer 10 training contracts and 10 apprenticeships

updated on 08 May 2014

Riverview Law, the new ABS entrant to the legal services market, is set to offer 10 training contracts and 10 legal apprenticeships this year.

As reported by Legal Cheek, the new training positions at the firm’s offices in the Wirral will not be subject to the usual two-year delay between applying and beginning employment that is prevalent at other firms, with training contracts starting immediately. The application process will open later in 2014.

Riverview is also currently recruiting paralegals, while both external applicants and its existing paralegals will be welcome to apply for training contracts. Meanwhile, those who secure apprenticeships will have the opportunity to qualify as legal executives.

Speaking to Lawyer2B, Karl Chapman, Riverview Law’s chief executive, said: "Five, six or seven years down the line it would be disappointing if we had to recruit senior lawyers, aside from in exceptional circumstances for very talented individuals. We are recruiting a range of people - from senior lawyers to school leavers - now, and some of those should be running the firm in the next five or so years."
