New school leaver scheme announced by Foot Anstey

Foot Anstey has confirmed that it will launch an in-house school leaver academy from September 2014.

As reported by Lawyer2B, the firm will recruit 10 school leavers to join its real estate and construction teams, with the intention of picking five apprentices by the end of the year. The apprentices will study with Weston College while also continuing to gain experience in-house. The firm suggested that it may be able to offer the apprentices permanent roles with a route to qualification via CILEx level one and two.

John Westell, managing partner of Foot Anstey, said: "Once they’re [the apprentices] qualified we envision them being somewhere between the level of paralegals and NQs. We want to train them in-house because we want them to qualify as people who not only have workplace experience, but also have the support of the legal theory they’ve learned."
