New Bar Pro Unit chief executive announced as outgoing CEO steps down after seven years

The Bar Pro Bono Unit (BPBU) has announced that its new chief executive will be Jess Campbell, taking over from Rebecca Wilkie who is leaving after seven years in the role.
Campbell joins BPBU from the Bar Council, where is she the head of policy for regulatory issues and law reform. Commenting on her move to BPBU, Campbell said: "The work of the Bar Pro Bono Unit and all those who volunteer to support its efforts is the epitome of all that is good about the Bar. I am delighted to be able to join the team at a crucial time for access to justice to build upon Rebecca Wilkie’s tremendous work."
Since Wilkie started at BPBU, the number of those receiving help has more than trebled, while the number of volunteers has doubled and the organisation has moved to the centre hub of the National Pro Bono Centre on Chancery Lane.
