Short week means a short round-up, but still packed with interesting stuff, as follows:
- The International Monetary Fund has said that governments around the world should do more to stimulate economic growth or face a long period of low growth.
- Delivering a great deal: US FedEx is buying Dutch rival TNT in a €4.4 billion agreement that will ensure the American company secures the expansion in Europe it desires.
- Aldi continues its upward march as it secures 6th place on the list of supermarkets where people prefer to do their weekly shopping – measured by market share – and knocking Waitrose down to 7th place.
- The BBC’s Robert Peston looks at both sides of the non-dom coin, asking whether their privileged tax position helps or harms the UK economy.
