London-based commercial firm Fladgate has agreed an exclusive training partnership with The University of Law.

The University of Law will now become the sole provider of the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) to Fladgate’s future trainee solicitors for the next three years. The first cohort will begin their courses at The University of Law’s Moorgate centre in September.

Philip Turner, training principal at Fladgate, commented: “The partnership with The University of Law is the next exciting step in the upgrading of the Fladgate offering to prospective trainees. Not only will funding be available for the GDL and LPC, but we will work closely with The University of Law to ensure that our trainees receive the best possible preparation for their career at Fladgate on an academic, commercial and practical basis.”

Dr Stelios Platis, The University of Law’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to be working with Fladgate to provide legal education and training for their next generation of law professionals. We are confident that our GDL and LPC qualifications will equip the firm’s trainees with the edge they need to succeed in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving market.”
