Norton Rose and A&O top list of preferred places to work

updated on 28 June 2011

According to research conducted by Legal Week, Norton Rose and Allen & Overy are top of the list of firms that lawyers would like to work for, outside of their own.

The Legal Week Intelligence's 2011 Employee Satisfaction Report was based on the responses of more than 4,000 lawyers. Participants were asked to specify which firms they would most like to work for, other than their current firm. Norton Rose took the top spot, knocking A&O down to second. In third place, respondents specified in-house as their preferred work option.

Head of recruitment at Norton Rose, Sarah Kelly, said that people are attracted to the firm because of their clear strategy: "The fact that we have openly discussed our strategy and acted on it gives a clear indication to people of where we are going."
