BPP goes nationwide with two-year degree

BPP has announced it will roll out its two-year degree programmes across all six of its UK centres after an increase in interest from students. The accelerated option - which was introduced in 2009 and has just seen its first ever cohort finish - will be available to students studying in Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester and Swindon from this September. The faster courses are identical to the traditional three-year equivalent, but with shorter breaks between terms.

BPP University College Chief Executive Carl Lygo said: "The 'one size fits all' approach to university study is long gone and we have designed all of our programmes to fit different needs and lifestyles. This is not just a case of revamping a three-year degree - we have listened to students stating their preferences; some want to study full time, others part time and some opt for longer or shorter periods. Most like the two-year option because of time and money savings. Others like the idea of learning all the topics quite close together, particularly law students."

Two-year degree programmes available from September 2011 include law, law with business and (a new addition) law with psychology. Four business and accountancy courses are also available.
