Law and business: commercial news round-up 28.03.14

Here are some of the key commercial stories that have been preoccupying legal and business minds this week, and about which you should know at least a bit:

• The beleaguered Co-op must find an extra £400 million, raised by way of share issue, after discovering it has additional costs related to past misconduct and poor documentation.
• The answer is blowin' in the wind: German manufacturer Siemens plans to invest £160 million in wind turbine production and installation facilities in the United Kingdom. 
• Online takeaway service Just Eat is likely to be valued at just over £1 billion when it lists on the London Stock Exchange - we expect investors to salivate over this tasty morsel.
• The 'big six' energy companies are to be subject to a review by regulator Ofgem, determined to find out "once and for all whether there are further barriers to effective competition".
• Wal-Mart is suing Visa for $5 billion over allegations that the credit card company worked with large banks to fix the price of transaction fees it charged to the retailer.
