Lawyers with Disabilities Division afternoon seminar - speed CV review with city employers

The Lawyers with Disabilities Division (LDD) is pleased to bring you this afternoon seminar. During the afternoon we will look at CV writing, what a CV should cover, regular mistakes, good and bad examples, interview do's and don'ts, as well as provide general advice and guidance. 

Following the main presentations will be 10 minute one-to-one CV reviews with city law firm representatives and a networking reception.

13:45 - 14:00        Introduction

14:00 - 14:45        CV writing
                            - What a CV should cover;
                            - Regular mistakes;
                            - Examples of good and bad CVs.

14:45 - 15:00        Tea/Coffee
                            
15:00 - 15:30        Law Society Library/Practice Advice Service/LawCare/SBA

15:30 - 16:15        Interview do's and don'ts
                            - Basic questions asked;
                            - How to answer;
                            - Good and bad examples;
                            - How you should not focus on your disability when answering.

16:15 - 19:00        Speed CV reviews and networking
                            - Each delegate will be given the opportunity of a 10-minute discussion about their CV

This event is for law students and those who are about to start or are undertaking the LPC, those seeking training contracts as well as newly qualified solicitors.
