LawCareers.Net is running a series of unique evening events designed for those of you about to start your search for a law job.
Basic Training is coming to a venue near you!
Most law career fairs and firm presentations now take place in the Autumn term.
This means that students need to arrive prepared. If you are a first-year law
student or a penultimate-year non-lawyer you need to begin preparing NOW! The
Basic Training events are designed to offer you a comprehensive introduction to
why, when, where and how to approach your quest for a job in law.
We will offer you unrivalled access to a range of speakers who will discuss what
you need to do to succeed in the search for a training contract. They will look
at life as a trainee, how to find a training contract, interview technique,
CV/application form technique, getting the best advice, what firms are looking
for, common mistakes and selecting a law school.
Finally, at the conclusion of the evening, you will be able to network with the
speakers, find out more about what they look for in their future lawyers and
establish if you've got what it takes! All this over drinks and nibbles.
